We're in the final! - almost...
What a great result for us last night with a convincing win over
Canterbury 5-0!!
This game was crucial for us if we were to be contenders for the grand final, due to be played on Sunday. We started the match firing on all cylinders scoring an early goal withink the first 30 seconds.
The tempo of the match was extremely high and everyone was working together to build pressure. The hard work payed off later in the first half when we scored again to go into the break 2-0 up.
As soon as half time arrived, so did the hail. For the second game running, the weather was hardly tropical!
We knew Canterbury would come out after half time wanting to blaze and level the score so it was important to get an early goal, which we did!
We followed this with two more goals to finish the game at a classy 5-0. A nice statistic from this match was that each goal came from the field! It was great to get our youngsters on the score board with goals to Cat (2), Micky and Caryn (2).
This means we are now 1st equal with Midlands.
We have a rest day today which everyone is looking forward to after a good celebration last night! Maybe a bit of shopping on the cards for some.
The pranks have continued and have got somewhat fishy, hopefully no more to come as they could become a little out of control.
Had a little incident yesterday where we tried to put a few too many into the lift which got stuck in between floors. Not ideal when there was not a lot of room. Luckily we were rescued; great TEAM BONDING!
Tomorrow we take on Midlands in the match up between the two top teams. We are hoping if things go well to play in the grand final on Sunday.
